Google Threatens Nokia with New Mobile OS Android

Yesterday, Google took a strike at Nokia’s open source mobile platform ‘Symbian OS’ by demonstrating Google’s own ‘Android’. Google coupled the unveiling of Android by offering a $10 Million reward for developers who can enhance Android with unique features and programs.

Android was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2008 event held in Barcelona from February 11-14.

Watch Sergey Brin, Google’s President of Technology, introduce Android. Don’t let Sergey’s disheveled appearance fool you. He is 34 years old and has a net worth estimated at $18.5 Billion (with a ‘b’). He is the 26th richest person on earth and the fourth youngest billionaire.
