In the age-old conflict between home remedies and professional medical advice, doctors at Magrabi Medical Center in Oman drove a stake through the ‘root’ of the competition… and tagged an ad on it. Click the ad below to enlarge.

The concept is catchy and serves as a more effective form of billboarding. Would Nova Scotia/Halifax grocers allow advertisers paid access to their produce for similar stunts? Would consumers be amused and intrigued by commercial messages on their Apples or will they be offended by a “Stay Healthy. Join Nubody’s today!” sticker on their Pink Lady? Will regulatory bodies step in, as is customary in this part of the world, and kill such initiatives or put obstacles and guidelines to dictate what the grocer and advertiser can and can not negotiate for such cases?
