Another clever ad from UAE. This ‘say NO to Porno’ (loose translation) campaign was issued by the Al-Bayan Newspaper as a public service announcement encouraging citizens to uphold morality and maintain public decorum.
The Playboy symbol, slightly modified, forms the word “NO” in Arabic.

As I was using google images search I found that picture. As an arabic student I immediatly saw that it was a mixture of “??” and playboy-symbol. Great job!

yeah, it’s clever… but i feel like it’s counterintuitive…
the fact that they are conveying the message of against the porno,
the symbol still reminds me of the playboy logo…
so instead of keeping the kids to that kinda things…
it’s as if they are encouraging their curiosity..
